Archery tag is a game similar to dodge ball. Unlike dodge ball, it is played with bows and patented foam – tipped arrows. It is so exciting, full of action and offers great experiences with family and friends. It is so engaging as it requires focus and patience for you to dodge the arrows and to shoot your opponent.
To play archery tag, a player must be above 8 years old. Although it’s not dangerous, players must sign a waiver before the game. For players below 18 years, their parents or guardian must sign the waiver giving the child permission to play.
The official game equipments are arm guards, face masks, archery tag bows, and archery tag foam-tipped arrows.
This game requires two opposing teams, each with 5 players.
Objectives of the game;
♣ To tag or hit members of opposing team with your soft foam – tipped arrows. When the player is hit by an arrow, he or she is eliminated. Removing members of the opposing team stacks the odds in your favour to win.
♣ To knock out the five centres of the opposing team’s target. The five centre targets work to save a life of one of the players. That is, a hit player can be called back into the game when a target spot is knocked out.
An eliminated player can get back in the game when a member of his team catches the arrow.
The winner of the game is;
♣ Any team that eliminates all players on the opposing team.
♣ The team with the fewest centres missing from their spot target in the allocated time.
♣ The team that knocks out all five spots on the opposing target first.
